This week the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Centre (NERSC) celebrates its thirtieth anniversary. Since its infancy in 1986 NERSC has grown both in size and scope, becoming international in the process.
Research group two just received a new name. Now known as Climate Predictions and Climate Services, the group signals a more pronounced relationship with climate services and applied science, according to its new leader Stephanie Mayer.
It is now twenty years since Yongqi Gao came to Bergen as a PhD candidate. Since then, Gao has been a key-figure for the Norwegian-Chinese cooperation that now has received SIU funding for new summer schools, and a PhD and Master student exchange.
