My PhD work is on the role of the Southern Ocean in global biogeochemical cycling. I apply models (NorESM, HAMOCC2s, TMI) in paleoceanographic studies with a focus on the Last Glacial Maximum and Pleistocene global oceans. The implementation of the carbon isotopes in NorESM, teaching (TA) of the course chemical oceanography at GFI (GEOF236) and model analysis (physics&biogeochemistry) are/were my core activities. Current interests include the role of sea ice in seasonal Southern Ocean carbon cycling and how the Last Glacial Maximum Southern Ocean differed from the pre-industrial Southern Ocean.
