Media relations and public outreach

The media contact is the link between researchers at the Bjerknes Centre and the media to make the interface between journalist and researcher easier and more efficient. Simultaneously, they contribute in increasing the dissemination of research and results to the general public and others who can make use this knowledge.

The media relations will also provide advice and support to researchers and help journalists adapt and facilitate information, navigate the system and find relevant interviewees.

Who answers what?

Public-oriented dissemination is a priority at the Bjerknes Centre and as a centre committed to understand the climate system to the benefit of society we are obligated to disseminate results and knowledge. Especially at such an important area as climate change is of great importance that researchers with public funding provides knowledge back to the community.
