The position is a part of the project ‘Overturning circulation and its implications for global carbon cycle in coupled models (ORGANIC)’ funded by the Research Council of Norway. The project is coordinated by UNIResearch and implemented in cooperation with Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen. The tasks of this Post-doc position are to carry out modeling and diagnose tracer simulations using Miami Isopycnic Coordinated Ocean Model (MICOM) for studies of the physical mechanisms governing the patterns and variability of the thermohaline circulation. The MICOM model is the ocean component of the Norwegian Earth System Model (NorESM).
